Tips for buying a Digital Camera

Depending on whether you are an average use taking pictures for fun and photo albums or if you are looking for a more sophisticated camera for professional use, you will have many different choices in digital cameras.

The first thing you should consider in buying a digital camera is your budget. You may want that fancy, top of the line digital camera but your budget may not. Yes, the high end cameras offer the best zoom and more megapixels, as well as other added features you might find with less expensive cameras but they are very costly. That does not mean you will end up with a horrible camera though. In fact it is quite the opposite! There are some very inexpensive yet powerful digital cameras that are easy to use and to shoot and that are very compact and portable.

With so many brands offering different variations of digital cameras it is easy to get off track with words like high resolution and optical zoom. There are some basics of digital cameras that you should research before buying such as how many megapixels you need, or whether you are shooting more in the evening or late night. In fact there are many questions you should ask yourself before buying a digital camera, but once you do you can narrow down your camera to one or two models.

You also need to consider battery life. Digital cameras for the most part drain batteries in very little time. You need to know how much batter life your camera has before purchasing it. Although you should keep spare batteries on hand at all times, it is recommended that you consider rechargeable batteries so that you simply recharge them when you camera dies. Otherwise you’ll be spending more on batteries then on the camera itself.

Then of course you need to consider all of your accessory options. First and foremost, there is the memory issue. Most digital cameras come with almost no memory capabilities so you will need to purchase your own memory. This comes in many forms such as flash cards, memory sticks, and pen drives just to name a few. Some memory options will depend on the type of camera you buy, but others are multifunctional and can work with any digital camera.

Most importantly when buying a camera is to make sure that it suits your needs, and has a good quality name behind it. Digital cameras that get great reviews from consumers are usually the best digital cameras to try. Amateur photographers are a hard bunch to please, and if you have done your research and have found camera to perform up to its capabilities and it is what you need in a camera then you may have found the camera for you. Do not be overwhelmed by your options. Digital cameras may be advanced by they are very user friendly.

7 Tips To Increase The Longevity Of Your Split Air Conditioner

The global warming has wrecked havoc on the earth as the temperature is rising and touching a new high every year. The people across the globe are suffering from the ill effects of global warming. Coupled with the scorching heat, the humidity has made life tougher than ever before. To save themselves from this unusual climatic condition, many people have fallen back on air conditioners a lot.

Whether you buy a split AC (air conditioner) or a window AC, the most important thing is to know whether they will perform smartly under tough circumstances. Since, we tend to overuse the air conditioners during the summer, we need to be prepared for their maintenance just incase they fail to perform up to the desired level. Take a look at some of the maintenance tips for split ACs that should be applied to boost the efficiency of your split air conditioner.

The smooth functioning of a product depends on its proper maintenance. So, if you have a product, then you need to take god care of it. In case of an AC whether domestic or commercial, the following points should be noted for better performance and durability of the product. The various components of it include:

1.
Air conditioning filter
is an important part of an AC. It should be changed every month or every two months regularly depending on its use. If not the air would be dirty and filled with pollutants. The dirty air conditioning filters also increases the air conditioning repair and maintenance cost.

2. Another important part is the compressor. It compresses low pressure, low volume gas making them the high pressure, high temperature and the gas needed for the AC. It also removes vapor from the evaporator to maintain a low boiling point. Make sure to clean the compressor regularly to get cool and refreshing air. Oil specially designed for the ACs can be used for its longevity.

3. When air passes through the system, the evaporator coil absorbs the heat to provide cold air through out the space. Replacing the old evaporator coil improves the air flow and air circulation inside the home.

4. Air conditioning maintenance also includes cleaning of air ducts or ducts. In the air conditioning system, air ducts are spread through out the entire house keeping the area cool and pleasant. Hence, the ductwork ought to be cleaned regularly to remove the dust collected on air ducts.

5. All air conditioning system use refrigerant to absorb the excess heat and supply cool air inside the house. Sometimes there might be a refrigerant leak. So, a reliable
air conditioning company
or contractor should be called to check and repair that part.

6. Sometimes there might be problem with the heating and
split air conditioning of your air conditioner. You need to clean your air filters
. If, still the problem continues, then it`s time to call an expert.

7. In some of the cases ice blocks the tube and no cold air comes from the air conditioning filter instead of the filters recently cleaned. It indicates that the air conditioning refrigerant is low and needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Although the running cost of both window and split AC is almost the same, the power consumption of a split AC could be little higher because of the additional motor it requires. Moreover, the capital expenditure of it is a bit higher than the window AC as well. A split air conditioner scores higher than a
window air conditioner because of its `silence` feature. The compressor of a split air conditioner is kept away from the indoor unit and thus, ensures complete silence inside your room.

Find Out What Notebook Is Right For You

The Netbook has sprung onto the market with force thanks to the new Intel Atom processor that allows you to stay connected for longer. So which of the 10-inch models is the best for you? We take a look at three of the contenders in the field.

MSI Wind notebook
Following hot on the heels of the Eee PC the MSI Wind, yet another white plastic netbook. Pull open the lid and you will be presented a 10-inch Super-TFT panel and an almost full size keyboard.
Operating systems are either Windows XP or Linux.

As for that chip, the Intel Atom N270 runs at 1.6GHz but as the core of the chip is based on older technology, so you won't see much of a performance boost over the Celeron chips found in the Asus. However, as it runs at a lower voltage, it impacts less on battery life. The new chip improves usability but not performance making the MSI Wind a winner in our book. It's taken everything Asus learnt from its first generation Eee PC and improved on it.

Advent 4211 notebook
It is impossible to review the Advent 4211 without referring to the MSI Wind, but perhaps there is no need because the Advent 4211 is identical. The difference lies in the price, the colour schemes and bundled software. The Advent comes in a black outer shell, with silver interior.

The Advent 4211 is home to the same Intel Atom N270 chip as used in the Wind and this gives you 1.6GHz processing power. The display is a crisp 10in LCD (1024 x 600) LCD, which stands up fairly well in a range of light conditions, both indoors and out.

The keyboard is obviously small, but fills the width of the frame so maximal space is given over to the keys. As there is no optical drive, you'll either have to
download the software you want, or install from a USB stick or SD card. The Advent 4211 is a great little computer and runs very well.

Asus Eee PC 1000
notebook
It is seems that every time a company announces a rival to Asuss Eee PC crown, the Taiwanese company sees this as a direct challenge and announces another model in the Eee PC range.

So, hot on the heels of the 901 comes the 1000. It takes the same styling as the 8.9-inch model, but features a 10-inch screen. This larger screen does mean the overall design is bigger and heavier. Sure, 1.5kg is still ultraportable but when you think back to the 701 and its sub-1kg size it is easy to see that the idea of true portability is slipping away.

The only problem with have with the Eee PC 1000 is the size of it. The largest Eee PC to-date, the 1000 may be suffering from size creep but it is still a fantastic machine to use. The battery life is impressive and the build quality is still as high as ever.

The only problem is, you need ask yourself, at this price, would you be better off opting for a standard notebook? Looking at the evidence the answer is no

The Popularity Of The LCD Plasma TV

Most people have heard of the LCD plasma TV technology. It is a craze that is sweeping the world and is considered by some to be the only way to watch television or play video games. Those older, bulkier models just will not cut it anymore.

This is a time of technology and of people demanding better quality in their viewing. If you have not had a chance to check out one of these flat screen televisions, then you are doing yourself a huge disservice.

Whether you purchase a Samsung TV or a Sony HDTV plasma television, you are part of a growing trend. Many people are trading in their old, bulky television sets in favor of the new slimmer models. Remember those big screen televisions that took up most of the living room? Forget about those archaic relics!

They offered up distorted pictures and faded colors. LCD and plasma televisions blast those antiques away by offering up new technology that spares owners the distortion. Monday night football never looked so good when viewed on this new phenomenon.

Okay, so an LCD plasma TV is a bit more expensive than what you paid for your old telly. However, if you remember back, then you may realize that the price differences are pretty small. At the time, larger screen televisions could easily sell for $500.

Today you can own flat screen televisions for as little as $628 if you catch them on sale. Wal-Mart offers an RCA LCD HDTV for that price. It is 32" and has a built-in DVD player. You're getting a two for one deal.

Some people do not believe in buying their products or merchandise at big name retail stores because they want to support their local businesses. This is commendable and there needs to be a concerted effort to save local businesses. However, the downfall of shopping at local "Mom and Pop" stores is that they may not have the selection you want and if they do have the right Samsung TV or Panasonic plasma TV, then you are going to pay more.

Get rid of that dull old television set that is taking up so much room! An LCD plasma TV will change how you watch movies or play video games. You can go a step farther by purchasing cable or satellite packages that offer HDTV. The difference between regular cable or satellite and high definition is astonishing. Jump into the craze and see what you have been missing

Give Me My Blackberry Or Give Me Death

I remember it well. It was late in the evening on the Help Desk and I got a call from a freaked out Accountant who was with his family in Egypt on vacation and he had lost his Blackberry. The guy sounded like the Tasmanian Devil on the phone and was yelling at the top of his lungs. I may have got a few words in but pretty much had to let him vent for a while and it sounded like he may have even blacked out for a minute there. The sky was indeed falling for this poor sap. I can only imagine what his family had to endure during the rest of the trip.
Obviously there was really nothing I could do for him except disable the device on the Enterprise Server and wait until he returned to get a new device activated but he didnt take to well to that plan. He went on and on about the fact that his entire life was stored in that device and he had no backup of it at all. Somehow this was all my fault. I for one never have had that much faith in any sort of gadget that can be so easily misplaced or get damaged. If I were to do that I would have as many backups of the data as possible...even then Id still be paranoid. We all know that everything breaks eventually and in the case of a cell phone or a BB the chances of them being stolen or left behind is pretty high.

Anyway, the guy would not accept the fact that he was out of luck so he insisted that I call my boss and check the server backups then call him back. Just what I wanted to do at 11pm when I have a mountain of reports to churn out already. Well, I did call my boss just to cover my you know what but he agreed that there was really no point in waisting man hours to search for something that didnt exist. So I just killed some time and then called the guy back to give him the bad news. A few hours later I got a call from his boss completely annoyed that he was disturbed at home for something this trivial but had me explain everything again just so he could get a sense of what had happened. Luckily he sided with me on it.

The funny thing about Blackberries too is that we get a lot of calls from people who if they dont get emails over a 5 or 10 minute period they naturally assume that that the device is broken. Its depressing really, obviously that persons life is completely controlled by their email...just another reason why I call it the Electronic Leash. I have one myself and it wasnt long before I started turning the bloody thing off at night in order to get a little sleep. Sure I could turn off the sound notifications for messages but if youre going to do that you might as well power it off.

I did see something rather humorous today and that was an Ad for a type of massage designed to ease the muscle and joint pain in the hand associated with Blackberry use. Who knew? You know youve hit the big time when you spawn a new type of therapy designed to fix the problems your product causes. Kudos to RIM....maybe they own stocks in the massage businesses!!

Used Nano or New Nano, Which is Best for Me?

The apple  has sold more units than any other mp3 players on the marketplace according to top internet retailer Amazon. If your thinking about an iPod, it is most likely going to be a nano. Just a single question persists, do you require a new or used nano? There are distinct advantages to buying both new and used nano.

Is cost a factor?

New nanos frequently cost up to $199 depending on the model. Where a used nano of the same generation can cost up to 50% less. Previous generations of nano (1G, 2G) which are not easily attainable in stores can go for up to 75% or more of the price of a new nano. The advantage in cost clearly belongs to the used nano. Particularly if you dont require the features of the so called latest and greatest generation product.

Are you worried with getting a top-notch condition model?

Many people just feel more well-situated paying higher retails prices. If the price is low, the deal is too good to be true some say All The Same, I have purchased numerous used products through the net, in particular through internet sites Ebay and Craigslist and found the product quality to be as good as new. The trick to getting superb quality used mp3 players is purchasing from sellers with a good rep. Ebay has a very good system of measurement to rate seller reputation called Feedback. The greater the vendors feedback, and the larger share of their feedback that is positive, the more trust you can have in buying a used nano or other product from the vendor.

Is it preferred to have a manufacturers warranty?

New nanos are guaranteed by Apple for at least a single year via the their warranty. Used nano oftentimes have no manufacturing plant warranty. Even So, purchasing a previous generation used nano might be a good compromise. The 3rd Generation iPod nano was first sold in late 2007. Meaning second hand 3rd gen. devices will often retain a percentage of the factory warranty remaining!

The iPod nano was 1st presented to the market place in the third quarter of 2005. Fast forward to the present, Apple has designed a new generation of nano more or less once annually. There are currently three generations of iPod nano on the marketplace in less than three years. The used nano market is really sound and even a 1st release. nano will likely perform well for the forseeable future to come. Many Apples customers like to remain on the cutting-edge of technology and will sell a somewhat used nano for far under the retail price. Apple does not allow vendors to sell a new nano for below MSRP, a used nano is always the best wager for cost.

Debt consolidation companies

are showing up all over the place; in television ads, in the phone directory, and on the Internet there are countless organizations who offer their services for the consumer suffering from financial burdens. A debt consolidation company does just what the name implies. They consolidate all debts into one account, reducing payments, usually over a two to four year time span. Before this actually takes place, the companies contact the creditors to negotiate a lower interest rate. Sometimes, an agency even succeeds in lowering the principal. These organizations disburse funds to the various creditors after the consumer sends a monthly payment, thus simplifying the payment procedure.

One of the requirements a debt consolidation company has when the consumer engages in their services is that the debtor must close all credit card accounts and destroy the cards. For a debtor who is used to using a credit card all the time, this requirement by debt consolidation companies is tantamount to cigarette smoker having to quit cold turkey. It requires a change in priorities and a new attitude toward buying. The credit card gave the debtor a certain feeling of security, but the debt consolidation companies are aware that this account is the very thing that got the debtor into trouble in the first place. The freedom from indebtedness and the worry that it causes is the payoff. In addition to credit consolidation companies that are in business for that purpose only, there are legal firms who advertise these services also. They have the advantage of a greater understanding of the law, but their fees are higher than other organizations. Also, they often tend to steer a debtor toward bankruptcy quicker than counselors not working through a law firm.

In addition to helping a debtor get out of the trouble created by irresponsible spending, a
debt consolidation company will offer it's clients financial counseling to help make the transition. This service is just as important as the consolidation itself. If a client goes right back down the same path, the logical ending is bankruptcy, and that has long term effects on a person's credit. Debt consolidation companies are not all alike, however, and some who advertise as being non-profit are really for profit companies. It is important for a debtor to check an organization out with the Better Business Bureau before signing any agreement. Even in Biblical times, there were occasions where debtors were shown kindness. In Luke 16:5-6, there is this passage: "So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty."

Term Life Insurance Basics
We've all seen the TV commercials—term life insurance for just a few dollars a month. While these
advertisements may be based on very favorable situations, the general premise is true. Term life insurance
is the simplest and most inexpensive form of life insurance. And it can provide the peace of mind that comes
from protecting your family at a very low cost. Even with its plain vanilla image it's important to understand
some of the basics before purchasing.

Term life insurance provides the largest immediate death benefit for the minimum premium dollar. When
compared to traditional whole life policies, term life insurance is substantially cheaper. Its reasonable rates
allow for the purchase of much larger coverage than can be afforded from permanent life insurance. Term
insurance covers you for a specified period of time, usually 5, 10, 20, or 30 year periods. As the name
implies, term insurance is temporary, for a set period of time. Unlike universal or whole life insurance it does
not accumulate cash value.

When planning for your families financial future it's important to keep in mind that term life expires and it is
possible to outlive your policy. If you're looking for permanent insurance that builds cash value whole life
insurance may be the answer for you. Term life insurance on the other hand is often referred to as pure
insurance protection because it builds no cash value. Its primary purpose is to provide for the financial
responsibilities of the insured in an affordable manner.
Determining How Much You Need
There are several methods used to calculate an individual's need for life insurance. They include but are not
limited to, rule of thumb, human life approach, and needs based approach.

  •   Rule of Thumb
The most agreed upon rule of thumb is that an individual should be insured for about 10 times his or
her  annual salary. If the insured makes $50,000 a year, a policy in the amount of $500,000 would be
appropriate. This is the simplest of all the methods for obvious reasons.

  •   Human Life Approach
This method determines what your economic contribution to your family would be over your expected
lifetime.

  •   Needs Approach
The most comprehensive method. All upcoming expenditures are reviewed to determine the amount
of insurance needed. Total assets are subtracted from the total financial obligations to determine the
amount of life insurance needed. These obligations commonly include
mortgage payments, future
educational expenses, future income for family, funeral expenses, and more.

Types of Term Life InsuranceAfter settling on a suitable policy amount it's important to find the type of policy that is best for you.
Term or Straight Term        The amount of death benefit you purchase remains uniform for as long as the
policy is in force. The  premiums also stay the same for the life of the term
chosen. Level term is by far the most popular types of term insurance.
Decreasing TermThe amount of death protection you purchase decreases over time, but your
premiums stay level throughout the term of the policy. Decreasing term is
typically purchased by those who expect their insurance needs to diminish
over time.  Some examples would be to cover a mortgage or a business loan.
Both of which would have decreasing obligations over time. Families with
younger children often utilize decreasing term insurance; as the children age
the need for insurance diminishes up until they leave the nest.
Annually Renewable TermThe amount of death protection you purchase will stay the same, but your
premiums
increase
every year. These policies are typically purchased by
younger individuals looking for an inexpensive policy when they're young, but
as they age the premiums become more costly.
Convertibility PrivilegesMany term life insurance policies offer a convertibility privilege. This is a nice
feature that allows you to convert your term policy to permanent life insurance
for an equal, or lesser amount of coverage. The big benefit to this is that you
can do so without any evidence of insurability. With no required medical exam
you could complete the conversion, even if diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Insurance companies often hedge against this by establishing a maximum age.
Buy Sell Agreement
Term insurance is often purchased by business associates to cover anything from
a deceased partner's share of a company to outstanding debts. This is often
referred to as a "buy sell agreement". This binding contract is negotiated between
key business partners and covers future ownership issues. It is also utilized for key
employee insurance. This is designed to protect the company against the hardship that may result from the
possible loss of a valuable contributor. Key employee insurance is very common in small businesses where
there are a small number of employees and the loss of a "key" employee could prove detrimental to the
business.
Return of Premium Life Insurance (ROP)
Would you like term insurance that refunds your money if you don't die?  Well now you can—it's called Return
of Premium Life Insurance. One of the biggest objections to buying term life insurance is that people see
themselves outliving the specified term and often think of the premiums as wasted money. The insurance
industry has answered that objection with the recent introduction of Return of Premium term life insurance.

Return of Premium or ROP combines the benefits of traditional term life insurance with a return of premium
feature.  Simply put your family receives a lump sum death benefit if you die, otherwise if you win your bet
with the insurance company and you live the insurer returns all your premiums. This money-back guarantee
can be particularly comforting for those that believe death will not occur during the term of coverage.

What's the catch? Well it does come at a cost. Since the insurance company is obligated to pay you back at
the end of your term, Return-of-Premium life insurance does cost more than regular term insurance. A typical
ROP policy may cost approximately 25 percent to 50 percent more than standard term life insurance. And
policies typically have to be held for the 10 to 30 years to receive a return of all premiums, though many
insurers offer a pro-rated return if held for a few years. In some cases taking the extra premiums that would
have been paid and applying them to a disciplined investment approach may provide more flexibility.
Conclusion
Without a doubt straight term offers the best bang for the buck of all the life insurance types. Combine that
with the fact we're living longer healthier lives and you've got a pretty attractive arrangement. The number of
deaths in individuals age 25 to 44 has decreased significantly over the past ten years, resulting in individual
life insurance premium price drops of 5 percent on average since 2000, according to the
Insurance Information Institute. Making term life insurance more affordable than ever.

Term life insurance may be one of the best deals in town, but it pays to shop around when looking for a term
insurance quote. You'll want to find a qualified agent that isn't tied to just one single insurance company.

Legally Eliminate Credit Card Bills - How To Cut Your Card Debt In Half Through Negotiation

Credit card debt is a huge weight on anyone's shoulders. It is expensive and it may seem like it will never be paid off. Credit card companies add fees and charges and the amount never goes down. It can look like an ever revolving circle of debt that will be paid for forever. This can be especially strenuous when money is already tight and all you really want to do is get out of debt and stay debt free. You may be wondering if there is anything you can do to legally eliminate credit card bills forever.

The good news is that there is debt settlement and negotiation programs that cut the credit card debt by 50% ore more.

A debt settlement company works with the creditors to negotiate a payment that a consumer can actually make. There are a few different steps to the process of debt negotiations. It will legally eliminate credit card bills and payments. It is relatively easy to do too when using a professional debt settlement company. They have experience dealing with creditors. They also have the ability to talk to the people in the company that actually make the decisions when it comes to debt negotiations and not just the regular operators. Also, they understand the laws and rules in each state and how those affect the consumer and the repayment plan.

First, they will go through all the financial documents of the consumer seeking help. They will look through all the bills, the other household expenses, any other payments that have to be made, such as child support, alimony and mortgage payments too. They will look at how much money is coming in and create a repayment plan to present to the creditors.

Next, they send a letter to the creditors with the proposal for the repayment plan and to inform the creditors that the consumer is in s debt settlement program. This also stops the creditors from filing lawsuits against the consumer or additional judgments. From this point on the consumer never has any more contact with the creditor. The debt counselor does all the talking to the creditors from this point on, the consumer never has any more contact with them.

Now, the debt settlement agency starts the negotiation process to reduce and eliminate the remaining debt. They will get the fees, charges and interest removed, so that only the original amount is left. This original amount is then reduced further so that it fits into the repayment plan that the consumer is able to pay. Once the creditors agree to the terms of the repayment plan, the consumer than signs a debt settlement agreement.

The debt settlement agency can legally eliminate credit card bills forever and help consumers get back on track to a road to financial recovery.
Debt settlement is a viable option to filing bankruptcy and is becoming increasingly popular amongst Americans with over $10k in unsecured debt. Creditors are ready to negotiate. You can literally eliminate 50% of your unsecured debt with a settlement. Check out the following link to locate legitimate debt help in your state

Credit Card Debt Bailouts - How New FTC Laws Encourage Consumers To Choose Debt Settlement

Mounting credit card debt can sink any person very quickly. One missed payment and the debt begins to grow quickly. It will become out of control very fast. The credit card debt bailouts that the new FTC laws create, is actually there to help consumers. The new laws encourage consumers to choose debt settlement over bankruptcy. Bankruptcy hurts the consumer and creditors.

The consumer has the bankruptcy on their credit for ten years. This can make buying a home, refinancing a home, buying a car or making large purchases impossible. It can also affect insurance rates too. Car insurance companies and other types of insurance providers many times run a credit check before writing the rate that the consumer will receive. A bankruptcy can mean a higher rate, because now the consumer is considered a risk. Bankruptcy also seeps into job applications as well. Companies that deal in money many times will not hire somebody that has a bankruptcy either. Bankruptcy can affect a person for many years to come.

While it hurts the banks also because they receive nothing when there is a credit card bankruptcy filled. There is no recourse for them and the bankruptcy laws protect the consumer for ten years. Which means they are protected past the statue of limitations that states that a debt has to be collected in a certain amount of time. After that period passes, the debt can no longer be collected on.
The credit card debt bailouts means a consumer can go to a debt settlement or credit counselor for help with settling their debt with the creditors. The debt settlement agency works with the creditors to lower and reduce the amount of debt that the consumer owes.

They negotiate with the creditors to reduce the amount the debt by at least 50%. They work to have the fees, late charges, over limit fees and interest removed from the debt, so that the original amount is left., After that they continue to work to get the debt reduced further so that it is an amount that the consumer can actually pay back on a repayment plan.

The new FTC laws state that these debt settlement agencies can not collect any fees from the consumer until they have fulfilled their obligations to create a debt settlement plan that the creditors agree to. This is a huge advantage for consumers, since they do not have to pay anything up front to receive help. Many times bankruptcy was chosen because the fees were less than going through debt settlement. Debt settlement can cost a lot, because there is a lot more work involved, however an already struggling consumer many times does not have the money.

Finding the Best Business Line of Credit

Starting a business can be rough when you don't have the capital to start one up. What you can find out when you look into the history of

other businesses is that many businesses out there started out with next to nothing. They took the plunge, created a business, and borrowed the money. Over time, they were able to pay the money back to those that gave them it in the first place.

Sure, the economy is starting to improve, but what you're going to find out today is that banks are still hesitant to loan to those that don't have the best credit in the world. Heck, I just had a major bank close my account down because of no reason at all and my credit score is well above 750! Sometimes the banks just don't make any sense.

Now, when you're looking for the best business line of credit, I wanted to give you some tips that you can use when you're looking to get some credit for your business. Most of these tips may work for you. It doesn't hurt to try it out, because the worst thing that can happen is that you're going to get a "no" from them.

Try a business credit card: The first thing that I would try is a business credit card. The APR is fairly high on some cards but it's a great way to get a small business line of credit. Plan on getting lines of $1,000+. Don't purchase things that you don't need, because the last thing that you want is for it to get out of control.

Try your local bank: Your local bank can often give you a credit line if you sit down and talk with someone. You may also find out that you can get lines of credit from local credit unions as well. Many people skip over the idea of credit unions, but they can give you a lot more money than you would have ever imagined.

Friends and family: If you go this route, let them know what it is in it for them. If you're going to borrow $1,000, don't give them back $1,000 but instead, give them that plus a percentage of your profits. You want them to loan to you. To make them feel comfortable, let them know that you will be willing to sign a contract.

Peer to peer lending: Sites like LendingClub and more are a great way to find loans. Again, you will ask for a loan, but you may find that the interest rate is very high. Only apply for a loan if you're in desperate need.

These for steps can help you get on the right path. A great, motivated business owner will never give up. Be creative and find something that will work for you.

Motorbike Theft Insurance

Motorbike theft is becoming a huge problem and will continue to be. If a motorbike is stolen it is often never recovered. After the thieves strip the motorbike they move quickly to use these parts to build another bike.

There are multiple ways which can prevent your motorbike from being stolen. A very effective way is to keep the motorbike in a garage. Although this is not always possible it should be your first priority. A thief can be deterred by several security systems that can be installed on your motorbike. A secure solid lock attached to a large stationary object is often the most effective.

The above are great ways to secure your motorbike but you really should consider a comprehensive insurance policy. In most cases, the insurance company will replace the stolen motorbike or reimburse you at the current book value. We hope this never happens but at least your motorbike will be covered.
When looking into the motorbike insurance policy ensure you review the insurance company’s procedures in processing claims. Insurance companies always pay close attention to detail to lower the chance of making mistakes. You will recall that this is not pleasant if you’ve ever had to file a claim with a motorbike insurance company.

It seems a never ending process and always want to know as much information as possible.

It’s outlined in the policy how they perform this procedure. Knowing what the motorbike insurance company requires will most definitely speed up the process. Often the claim takes longer because the information needed was not completed correctly or additional documents missing. Having the correct documents laid out from the start will avoid delays in processing the claim.

First Time Car Insurance - How Much Will it Cost?

Getting their driver’s license is incredibly exciting for any teenager and getting their hands on their first car even more so. Freedom, the open road, no more waiting for the parents to pick you up from mall. Buying first time car insurance is generally very low on the list of exciting vehicle related activities in the mind of the average teenage driver but you can bet its very much on their parents minds, as is securing the best rate possible.

Since insurance companies base their premium rates on partially on driving record and credit history young drivers are already at a financial disadvantage. They have no driving record yet and most seventeen year olds don’t have much in the way of a credit rating either. To make matters worse the national statistics that car insurance companies also like to rely on heavily to access risk and set premium levels don’t paint a picture of young drivers as very careful ones either. Statistics indicate that they end up in the most accidents and involved with more vehicle damage than other age groups.

So the idea of scoring “cheap” first time car insurance is pretty much pie in the sky but there are ways to find less expensive ways to insure a car for a new driver.

Taking the time to shop around and compare quotes helps. Even though they access young drivers as the biggest risk most of the time the car insurance companies still want their business, theirs is a highly competitive industry after all. Some insurance companies offer policy discounts for good school grades (going along with the logic that a kid that can maintain good grades is a more responsible one) or to those teenagers who have held a part time job for a while.

If they are going to buy their own first time car insurance policy the best thing the young driver can do is educate themselves a little about the different levels of coverage that are available for the vehicle they have, choose the policy that offers the coverage they need at the best possible price and then work hard at keeping their driving record clean. A clean driving record will lead to better car insurance rates down the road, often in just a few short years.

How much it will cost to buy first time car insurance is also something new drivers have to keep in mind when shopping for their first car. If their parents aren’t buying it many teenagers manage to save for years so that they have a decent amount of cash to spend on their first (often used) car . One look on Craigslist or on the lot of the local used car dealership may show them that they can afford a sportier car than they thought and the temptation to go for it is huge.

However insuring such a car is quite another matter and one that the first time driver does not think about until it is too late and they have parted with all their hard earned cash. As any experienced car insurance buyer knows certain cars cost far more to insure than others and although you may be able to score a used Corvette for just a few thousand dollars insuring it will prove incredibly expensive for anyone who is buying first time car insurance. The smaller, more practical car might not be as exciting, but at least they will be able to afford to keep it on the road for more than a few months.

A 'Real' New York Housewife battles for life insurance payout

The issue, which has hit major papers including The Wall Street Journal, centers on the purchase of seven life insurance policies totaling $56.2 million, which in turn was sold to investors.

Alice Kramer is hanging her hat on a fundamental insurance principle called "insurable interest." The principle is based on the idea that in order for there to be a reason for the issuance of a policy, there has to be a family or business relationship in which the beneficiaries would suffer if the insured person dies.
Cars and Air Conditioners and insurance

The investors beg to differ, saying that Kramer made a deal that needs to be honored.

The period to file briefs starts this week on June 29 and runs through mid-August. If the case proceeds, the hearing will be sometime in the fall. It focuses on a narrow legal issue: whether New York law prohibits the immediate transfer of a policy to someone who does not have an insurable interest on a life if the one who the policy is taken out on did not purchase the policy to provide protection.

STOLI and other terms

This is a good time to bring up a couple of terms that may help put the case into context. Stranger-originated life insurance, STOLI for short, is when someone buys a policy and then turns around and sells it to an investor. It is condemned by just about everyone--life insurers, life settlement companies, regulators, legislators and probably a few other groups that are not coming to mind at the moment.
Life settlements, on the other hand, are legitimate transactions if the circumstances of the owner of the policy are right and the transaction is done properly. If an owner has held a policy for a long enough time and either needs the money, does not need the policy or both, then selling the policy to a licensed life settlement company can make sense. Depending on the state, a policy has to be owned two years or five years before it can be settled.

Kramer may have been a good candidate for a life settlement because it seems that he had other means to provide for his family. But the question before the Appeals Court doesn't deal with life settlements but rather, STOLI. Under a new law in New York STOLI is not permitted. But prior to that, while frowned upon, the law did not specifically prevent it. So, timing may well be an issue.

Whether the widow wins, is up for debate. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the family was paid to allow the transactions to proceed. That is one hurdle that would have to be cleared. The second is to determine whether the life insurance companies involved, Phoenix Life Insurance Co. and Lincoln Life & Annuity Co. of New York will argue that the policies are not valid. And the third point depends on how the Appeals Court decides on the question at hand. If the court decides that the answer is 'no', then Alice Kramer may be afforded the financial cushion that life insurance was initially intended to provide to those who lose a loved one.
Cars and Air Conditioners and insurance

The widow of Arthur Kramer, Alice, and the family are arguing that the investors have no insurable interest in Kramer's death and that the death benefit, the amount received when an individual on whom a life insurance policy is taken out dies, belongs to the family.

4 Steps to Purchasing Pennsylvania Auto Insurance

Step 1: Determining What You Need
When purchasing Pennsylvania Auto Insurance, you need to be sure your coverage is adequate, but you also don't want to pay any more than what is necessary. The state of Pennsylvania mandates that all drivers carry a minimum amount of liability coverage. This minimum is as follows:

$15,000 bodily injury liability per injured person
$30,000 bodily injury per accident
$5,000 property damage liability coverage
$5,000 personal injury protection (PIP)

Pennsylvania does not mandate compulsory uninsured motorist coverage. Uninsured motorist coverage, or UM, protects you against losses should another driver not have adequate insurance. Pennsylvania also follows a tort system of auto insurance, which means an at-fault driver is responsible for any losses incurred. Therefore, it's simply a good idea to carry some measure of uninsured motorist coverage.
Cars and Air Conditioners and insurance

Step 2: Shopping for a Quote Online

All auto insurance providers are not equal. It isn't enough to just get one quote from one company or agent. And just because your brother-n-law "knows a guy" won't guarantee you the lowest rate possible. So you're going to want to do some comparison shopping.

The easiest way to compare companies' prices is to use an online insurance quote engine. Most sites will require you to enter some basic information about the make and model of your car, your driving needs, and your driving record. A quote engine will return a number of quotes from several different companies. You'll find that quotes can vary in price significantly, and in some cases by hundreds of dollars. And if you're paying a lot right now because of a couple of tickets, or perhaps an accident, then shopping for a different company could yield fantastic savings.

Step 3: Shop by Phone

After you've shopped online for a quote, you should look up the phone numbers of other insurance providers in your immediate location. Many local auto insurance companies are so small that they are often overlooked by online search engines. But for the very same reason, they often times can offer extremely competitive rates. These companies will require you to provide the same information as the online quote engine, so be sure to have this information on hand when you call.

After obtaining a quote over the phone, you must confirm not only the price, but the coverage types and amounts you were quoted. Ask the company to fax or email you the quote so you'll have a written record of it.

Step 4: Ask about Discounts

As you're shopping, be sure to explore any all discounts for which you may qualify. You may not be offered a discount if you don't ask for one. Some of the more commonly offered discounts are discounts for a good driving record, favorable credit score, vehicle safety equipment, and a good student discount.
